Youth Leadership Program

 

Greetings fellow graduates,

 

The selection process for the 2018 Youth Leadership Program in Quantico, VA is now open.  The 2018 session will run from June 21 – June 29, with arrival and departure from Reagan Airport in Washington, DC. The New England Chapter is allotted two (2) spots for the 2018 YLP.  This selection process is highly competitive and open to any family member of active New England Chapter Associates who meet the strict criteria determined by the National Office.

 

The selection process is open to all candidates who meet the following minimum requirements, which will be strictly followed.  The candidate must be between the ages of 14-16 at the start of the program, regardless of school grade. There are no exceptions to the age requirement, and this is strictly enforced at the national level.  The candidate must possess a GPA of 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0), or equivalent thereof.  The selected candidate must also pass a medical examination, at the expense of the candidate.

 

The deadline for application packets is March 16, 2018.  An interview process will be held shortly after all application packets are screened for eligibility.  The interviews are tentatively scheduled for the last week of March.  The interview portion of the process will take place at the Merrimack, NH Police Department with a panel of National Academy graduates.

Roy of the Merrimack, NH Police Department, either by telephone at 603-420-1809, or email droy@merrimacknh.gov.  Packets can be sent via USPS, email, or downloaded directly from the FBINAA website.  However, all completed packets must be submitted through the New England Chapter Coordinator.
